Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the ceasefire agreement in Gaza is increasingly being viewed as one-sided, as Israeli forces continue to violate its terms and kill Palestinians, including children.

In a post on X, the minister stated that since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, at least 352 Palestinians have been killed. He noted that the death toll in Gaza has surpassed 70,000 since the beginning of the conflict, raising serious questions about Israel’s intentions regarding the agreement signed in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
Asif said the deal was meant to stabilise the region, but Israel’s actions have undermined its credibility. He added that Amnesty International has warned that Israel’s “acts of genocide” have not stopped and urged the international community — particularly Western governments — to maintain pressure on Israel to uphold international law.
The minister further said that Muslim countries which supported the ceasefire agreement, including Turkey, Egypt and Qatar, may need to reassess their stance in light of continued Israeli aggression. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has already expressed concern over the situation.
