Rawalpindi, February 13, 2026: Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), called on Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto during an official visit to Indonesia, highlighting the longstanding brotherhood and shared values between the two nations.

President Prabowo expressed interest in leveraging PAF’s state-of-the-art training programs and aerospace development infrastructure to enhance Indonesia’s defence capabilities.
During his visit, the Air Chief held high-level meetings with Defence Minister Lieutenant General (Retd) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, and the Indonesian Air Chief. He was accorded a Guard of Honour at all venues and conferred the Medal of Honour—the highest award of the Indonesian Air Force—for his efforts in strengthening bilateral air power cooperation.
Discussions with the Indonesian Air Chief focused on enhanced Air Force-to-Air Force collaboration, joint training programs from basic to advanced levels, professional exchanges, and cooperation in emerging aerospace technologies. The Indonesian leadership sought PAF’s support to advance operational and flying training, acknowledging Pakistan Air Force’s rich combat experience and modernization initiatives.
The Air Chief also participated in a joint meeting with the Indonesian Defence Minister and Chief of Defence Forces, covering a wide range of defence and security issues. The Indonesian leadership lauded PAF’s professionalism, technological infrastructure, and the capabilities of Pakistan’s National Aerospace Science & Technology Park.
