According to an official statement, the warship visited Aksaz Naval Base, where it took part in Exercise TURGUTREIS-XIII alongside units of the Turkish Navy. The deployment marked an important step in strengthening operational coordination between the Pakistan Navy and its Turkish counterpart.
During the port call, the ship’s Commanding Officer met Vice Admiral Rafet Oktar, Commander of the Southern Sea Area, to discuss enhanced bilateral naval cooperation and regional maritime stability. Later, senior Turkish naval officials, including Rear Admiral Hamdi Abanoz, visited the vessel.
Following the visit, both navies conducted a series of joint sea manoeuvres and operational drills designed to improve interoperability and readiness for combined maritime operations. The exercise concluded with a coordinated patrol in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Officials said the successful conduct of the exercise reflects the enduring strategic partnership and close defence ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
