The market opened at the previous closing level of 178,200.02 points. During the session, the index touched an intraday high of 178,768.83 points before slipping to a low of 178,023.65 points. On Monday, the KSE-100 Index recorded a sharp gain of 2,105.91 points, or 1.20%, to close at 178,200.02 points, compared with 176,094.12 points in the previous session. Trading Activity Remains Strong Trading activity remained robust despite lower volumes. The ready market recorded a trading volume of 785.361 million shares, compared with 880.951 million shares in the previous session. Meanwhile, the total traded value climbed to Rs33.140 billion, up from Rs24.957 billion a day earlier. Market capitalisation also increased, reaching Rs19.953 trillion, compared with Rs19.755 trillion in the previous trading session.
