Rawalpindi: Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim, Tajikistan’s Minister of Defence, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and the expansion of bilateral defence cooperation. Both dignitaries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening military-to-military ties, with particular emphasis on training, counter-terrorism collaboration, and shared security objectives.
The Tajik defence minister praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged its significant contributions to promoting regional peace and stability.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir highlighted the importance of collective regional efforts to ensure long-term security and prosperity. He assured Pakistan’s continued support for enhancing defence and security cooperation with Tajikistan.
