Speaking to journalists at a recent event, Mahira Khan shared her affection for Karachi and subtly expressed solidarity with Saba Qamar without naming her directly. Reporters asked for her views on the city, pointing out that some people hesitate to visit Karachi.
In response, the Raees actor said Karachi is her city and her home. She highlighted her deep roots in Sindh’s capital, saying her ancestors lived there and her grandmother’s house is also located in Karachi. Born and raised in the city, Khan said her memories and identity are tied to it.
Describing Karachi as a nurturing force, she said the metropolis is like a “mother” who opens her arms to everyone and welcomes people from all backgrounds.
Addressing the backlash against Saba Qamar, Khan said the actor’s comments had been misinterpreted and blown out of proportion.
