The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the state authorities in a petition seeking the transfer of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, to Shifa Hospital for medical treatment.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Khadim Hussain Somro heard the petition amid objections raised by the Registrar Office. Senior counsel Latif Khosa, Salman Akram Raja and other lawyers appeared before the court.
During the proceedings, Khosa urged the bench to fix the hospital transfer plea for hearing the following day. However, Justice Arbab observed that preparation of the paper book would require two to three days. He added that notices had already been issued to the relevant authorities regarding the transfer request.
The bench further stated that the main appeal would be scheduled for hearing next week and directed counsel to come fully prepared.
In addition, the court ordered that proceedings in the Toshakhana criminal case be fixed for March 10.
