Karachi is expected to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms on Sunday as a western weather system continues to influence large parts of the country, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The Met Office said strong winds are also likely during the rainfall, with wind gusts expected to be higher than normal in some areas. Authorities have warned that lightning strikes may occur during the storm.
Besides Karachi, several districts in interior Sindh — including Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Naushahro Feroze and Dadu — are also forecast to receive rain with thunder.
Earlier, on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, Karachi experienced heavy rain and strong winds, which brought pleasant weather but also led to water accumulation on roads. This caused inconvenience for residents travelling to mosques and Eid prayer gatherings.
Officials have advised citizens to remain cautious during the storm, particularly due to the risk of strong winds and lightning.
