The Gulf region’s premier T20 cricket tournament is set for a grand launch as renowned singer Ali Zafar leads the opening ceremony of the DP World ILT20 Season 4 on December 2 at the Dubai International Stadium.

The six-team, 34-match tournament will kick off with festivities starting at 6pm local time, followed by the season’s opening clash at 6:45pm between defending champions Dubai Capitals and the Desert Vipers. The match is a repeat of last year’s dramatic final, which the Capitals won in the last over before a capacity crowd of 25,000.
DP World ILT20 CEO David White said the league is honoured to begin the new season alongside the UAE’s National Day celebrations. He added that Ali Zafar’s headline performance will provide world-class entertainment for spectators and viewers globally before the cricket action begins.
Ali Zafar expressed his excitement about returning to Dubai for the event, calling it an honour to perform on the UAE National Day. He said he looks forward to performing fans’ favourite hits as well as debuting songs from his upcoming album Roshni.
The ceremony will also feature a vibrant fireworks display themed around the UAE National Day, promising an electrifying start to a month-long cricket spectacle.
