After an eight-year legal battle, Angelina Jolie has officially finalized her divorce from Brad Pitt, ending a tumultuous chapter in her life. Rather than focusing on personal matters, the Oscar-winning actress turned to Instagram to highlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Syria, emphasizing the need for aid for over 17 million people affected by nearly 14 years of conflict.

Jolie’s post, featuring a harrowing image of a war-torn region, cited the Norwegian Refugee Council’s (NRC) data and drew attention to the devastation Syria has endured. The actress, who has long been an advocate for humanitarian efforts, has worked with NRC in countries such as Jordan and Yemen.
Regarding her divorce settlement, Jolie secured a substantial $80 million, including revenue from the sale of her share in Château Miraval, the couple’s French estate. Though legally single since 2019, the couple’s disagreements over custody and finances had persisted. Her lawyer noted that while Jolie is “exhausted,” she is also “relieved” to put the legal battles behind her.
Looking ahead, Jolie is gearing up for a packed year in 2025. She will star in several major projects, including Maude v Maude, an action thriller with Halle Berry, Every Note Played with Christoph Waltz, and Maleficent 3. Additionally, she continues to expand her fashion and arts brand, Atelier Jolie, which she runs with her daughters Zahara and Vivienne.
Though the past few years have been challenging, sources close to Jolie say she is focused on her family, career, and advocacy. A friend shared that she remains committed to staying positive, stating, “She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time,” and continues to use her platform for global good.
