The Balochistan Education Department has approved significant curriculum changes that will take effect from the new academic year, introducing compulsory Quranic studies and enhanced digital education across schools in the province.

According to the revised plan, Nazra Quran and Quran translation will be formally added as mandatory subjects for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12, ensuring a structured and consistent approach to Quranic education at all academic levels.
In a move to strengthen digital learning, the department announced the introduction of new computer education textbooks for Grades 6 to 8, aimed at equipping students with essential technological skills and improving overall digital literacy.
The government has also developed dedicated textbooks for Grades 6 to 12 focusing on the positive and responsible use of social media. These books are intended to raise awareness about online safety, ethical digital behaviour, and responsible engagement on social platforms.
The updated curriculum will be implemented across all provincial schools at the start of the upcoming academic year.
