Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi chaired an important meeting aimed at advancing judicial reforms and modernizing the country’s legal system.
The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome from the Supreme Court registrar, followed by a discussion on key reforms such as integrating digital technologies, tackling case backlogs, and improving public access to justice.
Main objectives included enhancing transparency within the judiciary and speeding up case resolutions. To promote public involvement, an “online feedback form” was launched, allowing citizens to offer their suggestions and feedback on judicial processes.
The session also addressed strategies to improve Pakistan’s ranking in the World Justice Index and restore public trust in the judiciary. Updates from the IT Directorate highlighted the ongoing digital transformation efforts aimed at creating more transparent and efficient legal proceedings.
Discussions also focused on innovative measures to address case pendency and expand justice access for the public. The meeting wrapped up with a Q&A session, offering an opportunity for officers to exchange insights and address concerns.
