General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad, where he was welcomed by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of the Air Staff. A smartly turned-out Pakistan Air Force contingent presented the CJCSC with a Guard of Honour upon his arrival.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu praised General Sahir Shamshad Mirza for his distinguished service and his crucial role in enhancing tri-services coordination. He acknowledged the CJCSC’s contributions to strengthening national defence and reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to continued cooperation with sister services in the fight against terrorism.
The CJCSC expressed satisfaction with the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Air Force and its ongoing modernization efforts. He commended the professionalism and dedication of PAF personnel in safeguarding the country’s airspace and highlighted the service’s vital role in national counterterrorism operations.
General Sahir also appreciated the seamless coordination among the armed forces and voiced confidence that this tri-services cooperation would continue to grow stronger in the future.
