KARACHI — The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh hosted a dignified farewell dinner in honour of Inspector General of Police Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, marking the conclusion of his distinguished and impactful policing career.
During the ceremony, Additional Inspector General CTD Sindh Azad Khan and Deputy Inspector General CTD Sindh Captain (R) Ghulam Azfar Mahesar paid glowing tributes to the outgoing police chief, praising his exemplary service, visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to professional excellence.
The farewell event highlighted IG Memon’s remarkable contributions, courageous decision-making, and transformative approach that helped strengthen Sindh Police’s operational capability and modernise its policing standards. His tenure, officials noted, ushered in a new era of institutional confidence and improved law enforcement efficiency.
Widely respected as a principled and highly disciplined police officer, IG Memon oversaw major initiatives against crime and terrorism, resulting in several historic decisions that left a lasting impact on provincial security.
CTD Sindh particularly acknowledged his strategic influence in counterterrorism operations. Under his guidance, the department carried out critical missions that neutralised dangerous elements and enhanced the CTD’s capacity through reforms, better coordination, and modern tools.
Officials said IG Memon’s leadership, professionalism and vision have set new benchmarks within Sindh’s policing structure and will continue to inspire future generations of officers.
