Gold prices witnessed a sharp rise in both international and domestic markets on Saturday, breaking a two-day streak of stability.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs5,300 per tola, reaching Rs444,162 amid a global uptick driven by steady investor demand.
The rate of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs4,544 to Rs380,797, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed by Rs4,165 to Rs349,076.
In the international market, gold prices surged by $53 per ounce, settling at $4,218, reflecting sustained interest in precious metals amid global economic uncertainty and currency fluctuations.
Silver prices also posted gains, with 24-karat silver rising by Rs267 per tola to Rs5,909, and 10 grams increasing by Rs229 to Rs5,066.
