Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry is set to hold an important press conference today at 4pm to brief the media on the evolving situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Pakistan Launches Retaliatory Operation After Escalation Along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border
The military spokesperson is expected to share details regarding recent developments and Pakistan’s ongoing response following heightened tensions across the frontier. Officials say the briefing will address operational progress and the broader security situation after recent cross-border clashes.
Pakistan’s Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq continues after authorities described last night’s incident as an unprovoked attack by the Afghan Taliban regime. Security reports indicate that retaliatory strikes by Pakistani forces have resulted in significant losses on the opposing side.
According to initial reports, around 133 Taliban fighters have been killed and more than 200 others injured during the operation. Military officials also stated that several Afghan Taliban installations, including headquarters, tanks, artillery units and multiple border check posts, were destroyed.
Further details are expected to emerge following the ISPR briefing later today.
