United, who have lost just once in their last 10 games, saw Amad Diallo and Casemiro give them an early advantage, only for Antoine Semenyo to equalize before halftime. United regained the lead in stoppage time of the first half, but two quick goals from Evanilson and Marcus Tavernier at the start of the second period put Bournemouth ahead.
Bruno Fernandes’ brilliant free-kick and Matheus Cunha’s second goal restored United’s lead, yet Eli Junior Kroupi’s late strike earned Bournemouth a point. The visitors nearly snatched victory in stoppage time, with David Brooks twice denied by goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
Despite the draw, United move ahead of Liverpool into sixth place on goal difference, while Bournemouth extend their winless streak to seven games but climb to 13th.
United manager Ruben Amorim praised the attacking display but lamented defensive lapses in the absence of injured Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt. Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola admitted it was a chaotic encounter, calling it “very difficult to explain” but entertaining for the fans.
The match highlighted United’s attacking prowess yet exposed vulnerabilities at the back, leaving them frustrated after failing to secure three points at home for the third consecutive game.
