
Renowned and internationally acclaimed fashion designer Mehmood Bhatti shared his remarkable journey from Pakistan to France, detailing the challenges and triumphs of his career, during a seminar at Indus University. Addressing the students, Bhatti emphasized the importance of innovation, creativity, and ethical practices in fashion design.

“Youth are our future,” Bhatti said. “You must channel your mental abilities to create new designs, respect copyright laws, pay taxes, and take your work to the international stage.”
The seminar, titled “Future of Fashion Designing in Pakistan,” was jointly organized by Indus University and the Pakistan Film TV Journalists Association. It featured distinguished guests, including Chancellor of Indus University Khalid Amin, Vice Chancellor Dr. Asim Rehman, Chairperson of the Faculty of Communication and Design Miss Sana Gul, Deputy Registrar Javed Iqbal, senior journalist Athar Javed Sufi, and fashion designer Nadeem Ahmed Mazji.
Chancellor Khalid Amin praised Mehmood Bhatti, stating, “Geniuses like Mahmood Bhatti are rare. He is a beacon of inspiration for all of us, and students should strive to follow his path.”
Students engaged with Bhatti during a Q&A session, asking about societal criticism of fashion design and emerging trends. Bhatti responded with insights drawn from his extensive experience in the field.
To honor Mehmood Bhatti, Chancellor Khalid Amin presented him with a commemorative shield on behalf of Indus University.
