Speaking during a visit to Jinnah International Airport, Naqvi said passengers carrying unverified or illegal documents would be denied travel. He further warned that professional beggars posing as passengers would not only be offloaded but also face legal action.
The minister clarified that passengers with valid documents would continue to be allowed to travel, emphasizing that facilitating legitimate travellers remains a government priority. He praised officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for implementing effective checks and ensuring that all travellers possess valid documentation.
Earlier this month, Naqvi had directed the Immigration Wing of the FIA to conduct stricter screening at airports following complaints of arbitrary offloading of passengers despite holding valid documents.
