In his message, President Zardari said Pakistan greatly values its relationship with Finland, noting that both nations share common perspectives on democratic values, pluralism, and global cooperation. He praised Finland’s global reputation in education, innovation, and research, describing it as a benchmark for excellence.
The president also highlighted Finland’s sustained success on the Global Happiness Index, where it has ranked first for eight consecutive years—an achievement he said reflects the “creativity, resilience, and strength” of the Finnish people.
President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties, emphasizing vast potential for collaboration in trade, education, and the green transition. He pointed to promising opportunities in digitalization, mining, and telecommunications, adding that Pakistan is determined to enhance both political and economic engagement with Finland.
