H.E. General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called on General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday.
Saudi Chief of General Staff Meets COAS Asim Munir to Boost Pakistan–Saudi Defence Cooperation
During the meeting, both sides discussed the evolving global and regional security landscape and reviewed joint strategies to enhance military cooperation. The two dignitaries explored concrete measures to deepen engagements between the armed forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening defence and security ties.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and ensuring the protection of Harmain al-Sharifain.
The Saudi CGS commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. He also praised the CJCSC’s role in advancing and solidifying the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia strategic partnership.
Earlier, on his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, General Al-Ruwaili was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent.
