Karachi: Sindh Minister for Labour, Human Resources and Social Protection Saeed Ghani has pledged a transparent and comprehensive investigation into the Gul Plaza tragedy, assuring grieving families that all facts surrounding the incident will be made public.

Expressing deep condolences to the families of the victims, Ghani said the Sindh government stands “shoulder to shoulder” with those affected and will provide every possible form of assistance. He made these remarks on Wednesday while visiting the homes of several victims, including the family of three sisters who lost their lives and remain missing following the incident.
Accompanied by Member of Sindh Assembly Ali Ahmed Jan, Town Chairman Ali Akbar Jan, Pakistan Peoples Party District South President Javed Nagori and other local leaders, the minister met relatives of the victims and offered prayers for the departed.
Earlier, Ghani visited Manghopir to condole with Muhammad Rafiq, father of deceased Muhammad Arif, where he recited Fateha. He later went to the Metroville Site Area to meet Gul Faiz Khan, father of Muhammad Usman, another victim of the tragedy, and expressed sympathies to the family.
The provincial minister also visited the residence of three sisters — Raheela, Shaista and Kainat — in Metroville, who are still missing. He assured their family that if their deaths are confirmed, the bodies would be handed over within one to two days after DNA identification.
In District South, Ghani paid a condolence visit to the family of young victim Muhammad Shehz, son of Muhammad Haroon, where he offered prayers and conveyed the government’s commitment to supporting the bereaved.
Reiterating the Sindh government’s resolve, Saeed Ghani said a clean and impartial inquiry is underway and vowed that accountability would be ensured once investigations are completed.
