Speaking during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Zendaya said the widely shared photos were created using artificial intelligence and had misled many fans.
“Many people have been fooled,” she said, adding that even in real-life interactions, people had congratulated her on the supposed wedding. “They’re AI — they’re not real,” she clarified.
The rumours gained traction after alleged wedding images surfaced on social media, along with speculation fueled by comments from her longtime stylist Law Roach and her appearance wearing a gold band during Paris Fashion Week.
Despite addressing the fake images, Zendaya did not confirm any details about her current relationship status, leaving fans guessing about the couple’s future.
The actress appeared on the show to promote her upcoming film The Drama, which also stars Robert Pattinson. She is also set to reunite with Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and will feature in The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan.
The incident highlights growing concerns over the use of AI-generated content and its ability to blur the line between reality and misinformation in the entertainment industry.
