He added that Balochistan’s leadership had always placed national interests above personal considerations. Punjab, he noted, contributed Rs150 billion under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award. In addition, the other provinces also supported Balochistan as a gesture of national unity. According to the prime minister, successive governments increased development spending in the province. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government and the current administration, he said, released record funds for public projects. Meanwhile, authorities converted 27,000 tube wells to solar power. The federal government also provided Rs50 billion for the Rs75 billion solarisation programme for farmers. Moreover, work on the Karachi-Chaman dual carriageway continues at a cost of Rs300 billion. Officials expect the project to be completed within the next two years. Security challenges remain The prime minister expressed grief over the deaths of Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem and a security official in the Mastung attack. He said their sacrifices would not be forgotten. At the same time, he praised the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for protecting the country. According to Shehbaz, nearly 90,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives in the fight against terrorism. He also alleged that India continues to support militant activities inside Pakistan. Meanwhile, he urged Afghanistan to prevent militant groups from using its territory to launch attacks. Economy now takes priority The prime minister said Pakistan had achieved important diplomatic and security successes in recent years. He stressed that faster development and stronger economic policies are essential for long-term national prosperity.
