Pakistan Cricket authorities have agreed to provide coaching expertise to Iran’s junior and senior national teams, as the two countries look to strengthen cooperation in the sport. A delegation from the Iran Cricket Association visited Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters in Lahore and held meetings with the PCB’s Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The Iranian officials also toured Qaddafi Stadium, the Cricket Museum and the National Cricket Academy (NCA). During their visit to the NCA, the delegation reviewed the academy’s training facilities and discussed player development with PCB officials. The two sides also explored ways to promote cricket in Iran and expand cooperation between their cricket organisations. Officials exchanged views on the training requirements of both junior and senior players. They also discussed how Pakistan’s coaching experience could support the development of Iranian cricketers.
