Barcelona continued to control the match after the interval and extended their advantage in the 51st minute. Florian Lejeune inadvertently diverted a cross from Anthony Gordon into his own net, leaving Rayo with a two-goal deficit. Camello gave the visitors renewed hope eight minutes later when he headed home from a corner to make it 3-2. The result gave Barcelona nine points from their opening three matches and moved them to the top of the LaLiga table on goal difference ahead of Real Madrid. Rayo Vallecano, meanwhile, remain 18th with one point from three matches and are still searching for their first victory of the campaign.
