The KSE-100 Index opened on a positive note and gained more than 500 points in early trading, reaching 169,095 points.

However, the market later came under selling pressure, reversing the initial gains and pushing the benchmark into negative territory.

At the close, the KSE-100 Index had fallen 1,138 points to 167,441 points.

The benchmark had closed at 168,580 points in the previous session after gaining 120 points.

The latest trading session highlighted sharp intraday volatility, with investor sentiment shifting from early buying to selling pressure as the session progressed.
