According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched a targeted operation following confirmed reports of Khwarij presence in the area. During the intense exchange of fire, twelve Khwarij were eliminated as troops effectively engaged their hideout.
Acting on additional intelligence regarding another group of Khwarij operating in the same general area, security forces conducted a second intelligence-based operation. In this follow-up engagement, eleven more Khwarij were successfully neutralized.
The ISPR added that sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining Indian-sponsored Khawarij. The statement reiterated that the ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the vision of Azm e Istehkam—as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan—will continue with full determination to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
