Lieutenant General Fahad Bin Saud Al-Johani, Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, met Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi on Monday, where the two military leaders discussed defence cooperation and regional security.

According to the Pakistan Army, the meeting focused on shared strategic interests, regional stability, and opportunities to deepen bilateral military collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening what they described as longstanding, brotherly ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Field Marshal Munir expressed satisfaction over the growing defence partnership, underscoring the importance of continued cooperation in training, capacity building, and intelligence sharing. Lieutenant General Al-Johani praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged Pakistan’s “positive and stabilising” role in the region.
Upon his arrival at GHQ, the Saudi commander was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, marking the significance of the visit.
