The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi Division convened a key meeting on 6 December at the Peoples Secretariat to finalise preparations for the annual Jalsa scheduled for 27 December, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Sharmila Farooqui, Information Secretary Karachi Division, and attended by President Karachi Division Saeed Ghani, General Secretary Rauf Nagori, District Presidents and District General Secretaries from all Karachi districts. Participants were briefed in detail on mobilisation strategies, logistical arrangements and district-level coordination plans.
Saeed Ghani underscored the historic significance of 27 December, reaffirming that Karachi Division would play a pivotal role in ensuring a well-organised and impactful gathering to honour Benazir Bhutto’s legacy. He stressed the importance of unity, discipline and robust coordination among all organisational tiers.
District leaders expressed full confidence in the ongoing preparations, pledging that Karachi Division would participate in the 27 December Jalsa with maximum strength. They also committed to attending the commemorative events at Garhi Khuda Bux with complete solidarity.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to uphold the mission and values of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, ensuring that the upcoming gathering reflects the spirit, resilience and enduring principles of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
