Bara Operation: Five terrorists killed in Khyber district intelligence-based operation

Security forces killed five terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Bara area of Khyber district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said on Tuesday.

The operation was carried out after intelligence indicated the presence of militants in the area. Security forces engaged the militants in an intense exchange of fire, during which five terrorists were killed, according to the sources.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants, while their hideouts were also destroyed, the sources said.

The operation was conducted under the framework of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, as security forces continue intelligence-based operations against militant groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Security sources said the forces remain committed to eliminating militant networks and restoring lasting peace in the country.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their operations against militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In a statement, Naqvi specifically commended the killing of five terrorists in Bara and two others in a separate operation in Chagai. He said the operations had disrupted what he described as the militants’ plans.

The minister praised the personnel involved and said their performance demonstrated the capabilities of Pakistan’s security forces.

Naqvi also expressed confidence that continued operations, along with public support, would help eliminate militancy from the country.

Security forces have stepped up intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan amid continued militant activity in both provinces.
