During the visit, the COAS & CDF observed a high-intensity field exercise, Steadfast Resolve, at Khairpur Tamewali (KPT). The exercise showcased the integration of advanced and niche technologies, including unmanned aerial systems (drones), modern surveillance platforms, electronic warfare assets and state-of-the-art command-and-control mechanisms, reflecting the Pakistan Armed Forces’ growing focus on technology-driven, multi-domain operations.
Addressing the troops, Field Marshal Asim Munir praised their high morale, professional competence and operational readiness. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against all threats, stressing the importance of maintaining optimal readiness to meet future battlefield and security challenges.
The army chief highlighted that the Pakistan Armed Forces are undergoing a major transformation across multiple domains. He noted that the character of warfare has evolved significantly due to rapid technological advancements, requiring a fundamental mental shift at all levels of command.
“In future conflicts, technological manoeuvres will increasingly replace physical manoeuvres, fundamentally altering how offensive and defensive operations are conducted,” he said, adding that the armed forces are rapidly embracing new technologies, with innovation, indigenisation and adaptation remaining central to this transformation.
Earlier, the COAS & CDF inaugurated the ROHI eSkills Learning Hub (STP), aimed at promoting digital skills and learning opportunities for students, particularly from Southern Punjab and other parts of the country. He also inaugurated the Army Public School (APS) Abbasia Campus, reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s commitment to quality education and character building.
