Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar on Monday released a statement summarizing reported results of Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, asserting significant losses inflicted on Afghan Taliban operatives.

According to Minister Tarar, Pakistani forces have killed 464 Afghan Taliban militants, injured more than 665, destroyed 188 check posts, captured 31 posts, and neutralized 192 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns. He further claimed that 56 locations across Afghanistan were successfully targeted through aerial operations. Independent verification of these figures is not immediately available.
The minister stated that Afghan Taliban fighters launched multiple ground and fire raid attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all of which were repelled by Pakistani security forces.
In northern Balochistan, ground assaults occurred at 16 locations, including Qila Saifullah, Nushki, and Chaman, while 25 fire raids were carried out against Pakistani troops. Tarar said 27 Taliban operatives were killed and several injured, with one soldier of FC Balochistan North martyred and five others wounded.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the minister reported one ground assault attempt and 12 fire raids, all successfully repelled with no casualties on the Pakistani side. Overnight operations reportedly killed 40 Afghan Taliban operatives in the province.
Tarar emphasized that Pakistani security forces remain vigilant and that operations against hostile elements are ongoing.
