During an interview, Farhan acknowledged that some Indian content on streaming platforms continues to perform well but said only a limited number of projects stand out. He also praised India’s consistency in producing films and digital content.
Addressing comparisons between Pakistan and India’s entertainment industries, the singer-actor said such comparisons are not entirely fair due to the vast difference in market size and population.
Farhan pointed out that India has a population of around 1.5 billion compared with Pakistan’s population of approximately 250 million, giving the Indian entertainment industry a significantly larger audience base.
He argued that Pakistani productions could deliver different results if they had equal access to larger international markets, particularly India.
Commenting on content distribution, he said Pakistani films and dramas should be allowed unrestricted release in India, adding that Indian productions are widely viewed in Pakistan while Pakistani projects face limited access across the border.
His remarks have sparked discussion online regarding regional entertainment industries, market access and cross-border cultural exchanges.
