Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff, collectively commemorated the national hero on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
In their message, the services chiefs recalled the unparalleled bravery displayed by Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed in the Zafarwal-Shakargarh Sector, where he fearlessly identified advancing enemy armour and guided recoilless rifle crews with exceptional precision. His heroic actions led to the destruction of multiple enemy tanks and proved decisive on the battlefield. He was martyred while performing these acts of valour, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, duty, and unwavering patriotism.
The Armed Forces stated that Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed’s sacrifice remains a timeless symbol of national resolve and serves as a powerful inspiration for generations of soldiers committed to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.
As the nation pays homage to this courageous son of the soil, the military leadership reaffirmed its resolve to honour all martyrs whose bravery and selflessness continue to strengthen the country’s commitment to peace, security, and national dignity.
