ISLAMABAD: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), paid a farewell visit to Naval Headquarters (NHQ) on Wednesday as he concludes his tenure.

During the visit, the CJCSC called on Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M). In the meeting, General Mirza lauded the Pakistan Navy’s high level of combat readiness and its unwavering resolve to safeguard the country’s maritime boundaries.
Admiral Ashraf expressed gratitude to the outgoing CJCSC for his pivotal role in strengthening interoperability and jointness among the Tri-Services during his tenure.
Upon his arrival at NHQ, General Mirza was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent, marking the ceremonial aspect of the farewell.
