Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nov 16, 2025: Fifteen militants linked to the group Al Khwarij were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations carried out by Pakistan’s Security Forces across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 15 and 16 November.
Indian-Backed Militant Killed While Planting IED in Bannu
In the first operation, launched on confirmed intelligence regarding militant presence in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan District, Security Forces engaged the target location and killed ten militants. Among those neutralized was the group’s ring leader, Alam Mehsud.
A second intelligence-based operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan District, resulted in the elimination of five additional militants.
Following both engagements, sanitization operations were initiated to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining threats. Officials said the actions form part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
Security Forces reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the campaign at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism and restore lasting peace across the region.
