Chasing a challenging target of 198, Karachi Kings reached 199 for five in 19.2 overs, thanks to a blistering 74 off 34 balls by Azam Khan. His innings, featuring six fours and six sixes, turned the match decisively in Karachi’s favour after a tense middle phase.
Earlier, David Warner anchored the chase with a composed 50, while Salman Ali Agha contributed 29. However, it was Azam’s aggressive strokeplay that dismantled the opposition bowling and ensured a comfortable finish.
For Rawalpindi, Daryl Mitchell (65) and Sam Billings (58) powered the innings to 197 for six after they opted to bat first. Their 120-run partnership kept the scoreboard ticking, though the side lost momentum in the final overs.
Hasan Ali starred with the ball for Karachi, claiming three wickets and restricting the opposition during crucial stages.
