Indian actor Kartik Aaryan has opened up about the demanding physical transformation he underwent for his role in Chandu Champion.

In a recent Instagram post, Kartik said he stepped into the life of a man the world had forgotten. He added that the experience helped him understand the true meaning of perseverance and determination.
According to the actor, the film tells the story of turning setbacks into success through resilience and hard work.
Intense Training and Lifestyle Changes
To prepare for the role, Kartik completed 14 months of intensive boxing training.
At the same time, he removed sugar entirely from his diet to support the transformation process.
He also clarified that he achieved the results without using any prohibited weight-loss drugs.
As part of the preparation, Kartik reduced his weight from 90 kilograms to 72 kilograms and lost a total of 18 kilograms.
From Early Struggles to Physical Progress
Reflecting on the journey, Kartik said he could not perform a single push-up at the beginning of training.
However, consistent effort helped him build strength over time.
By the end of the programme, he performed push-ups while carrying an additional 50 to 60 kilograms.
Moreover, he improved his agility, jumping ability, and footwork.
He said he progressed from basic limitations to mastering around 14 to 15 advanced techniques.
More Than a Physical Transformation
Kartik described the experience as more than a fitness challenge.
He explained that the training process and the character helped build confidence, resilience, and mental strength.
Released in 2024, Chandu Champion drew inspiration from the life of an athlete whose story of perseverance connected with audiences across India.
