Noreen Niazi has been summoned by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over alleged controversial remarks against state institutions, with the agency directing the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan to appear before investigators in Islamabad on Monday. The notice comes after remarks made by Noreen Niazi during a YouTube interview sparked political debate and criticism from several commentators and analysts. Critics described her comments as irresponsible and argued that such statements could affect Pakistan’s national narrative. Some commentators also claimed that such remarks could be used by opponents of Pakistan for political purposes. The NCCIA has not disclosed further details of the inquiry but has asked Noreen Niazi to appear before the agency to record her version of events.
