According to a press release issued by Headquarters Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), the arrested men were identified as Asif Ali son of Karim Bakhsh, Muhammad Yaqoob son of Achar Ali, and Muhammad Irfan son of Fateh Muhammad.
During the operation, Rangers recovered two motorcycles, three mobile phones, a passport, cash, and a bottle of liquor from the suspects’ possession.
Initial investigations revealed that the accused were part of an organised criminal gang operating in several parts of Karachi, including Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Double Road, Somar Goth, National Highway and Malir. The group is suspected of involvement in multiple robberies and mobile phone snatching incidents carried out at gunpoint.
Authorities said the suspects are habitual offenders with several First Information Reports (FIRs) registered against them at different police stations. They also appear in CCTV footage linked to various street crime cases.
After completion of preliminary procedures, the suspects, along with the recovered items, were handed over to the police for further legal action.
Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) urged citizens to support efforts against crime by promptly sharing information about criminal elements. The public may contact the nearest Rangers check post, call the helpline at 1101, or send details via SMS or WhatsApp to 0347-9001111. Rangers assured that informants’ identities would be kept strictly confidential.
