Pakistan has strongly condemned recent remarks by the Indian Army Chief, labeling his insinuations about Pakistan being the “epicenter of terrorism” as unfounded and contrary to facts. In a strongly worded statement, Pakistan termed the remarks an attempt to perpetuate India’s habitual blame-game and deflect global attention from its own internal and external human rights violations.

The statement emphasized that these allegations aim to mask the Indian Army’s actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK), where systematic repression, brutal crackdowns on civilians, and widespread human rights abuses have drawn international concern.
“Such statements are a classic case of extreme duplicity,” the statement read. It accused the Indian Army Chief of politicizing military leadership and pointed to his past role in overseeing “the most brutal repression of Kashmiris” during his tenure in IOJK.
Pakistan also criticized India’s domestic policies, highlighting the oppression of minorities, hate speech campaigns inciting genocide against Muslims, and transnational repression. The statement underscored the resolve of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination, guaranteed under United Nations Security Council Resolutions, and warned against attempts to suppress this legitimate aspiration.
Additionally, Pakistan highlighted the arrest of a serving Indian military officer on charges of orchestrating terror activities within Pakistan, calling it a sobering reality that contradicts India’s accusations.
“Instead of fabricating non-existent terror infrastructures in Pakistan, the Indian Army Chief would do well to focus on the facts and engage in constructive state-to-state behavior,” the statement concluded, urging professionalism and civility in international relations.
