The federal government on Friday increased petrol prices by Rs13.18 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices by Rs13.80 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has increased to Rs323.30 per litre. Sources said the government also raised the petroleum levy on petrol by Rs9.36 per litre. As a result, the levy has increased from Rs70.36 to Rs80 per litre. The Petroleum Division said the revised fuel prices will take effect from midnight.
