The federal government on Friday increased petrol prices by Rs13.18 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices by Rs13.80 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.

Following the revision, the price of petrol has risen to Rs310.71 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has increased to Rs323.30 per litre.

Sources said the government also raised the petroleum levy on petrol by Rs9.36 per litre.

As a result, the levy has increased from Rs70.36 to Rs80 per litre.

The Petroleum Division said the revised fuel prices will take effect from midnight.

The new rates will remain in force for one week unless the government announces another revision.
