Pindiz Team Visits SSU Headquarters, Praises Professional Standards
Karachi, April 24, 2026 — A delegation comprising players and officials from the Pindiz team visited the Special Security Unit (SSU) headquarters, where they commended the unit for its professionalism and operational excellence.

During the visit, the delegation was given a detailed overview of SSU’s working procedures and facilities. The visitors appreciated the unit’s commitment to maintaining high security standards and its efficient operational approach.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security, Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, welcomed the delegation and briefed them on ongoing efforts to upgrade the SSU in line with international standards to address modern security challenges. He highlighted that continuous training programs and the integration of advanced technologies are enhancing the unit’s operational capabilities. He added that these measures aim to ensure a safe and secure environment for players, officials, and spectators during major sporting events.

Commandant SSU, Aamir Khan Niazi, accompanied the delegation on a tour of various sections, providing insights into their respective roles and functions.
As part of the visit, the players and officials also participated in practical shooting exercises at the SSU’s indoor firing range.

The delegation expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, stating that the comprehensive and well-managed security measures contribute significantly to a sense of safety for all stakeholders.
The visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed and members of the delegation.
