Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film was set to begin a major desert action sequence in Dubai on April 9. However, producers decided to call off the overseas schedule, prioritizing the safety of the cast and crew amid the evolving geopolitical situation.
Actors including Suhana Khan and Anil Kapoor were expected to participate in the sequence. According to reports, all necessary permissions had already been secured before the sudden change in plans.
Instead of delaying production, the team has shifted the shoot to Mumbai, where a large desert set has been constructed inside a studio in Vile Parle. The move allows filmmakers to maintain continuity while ensuring better control over action choreography, lighting, and overall production quality.
The sequence is expected to feature a high-octane chase followed by intense combat scenes, forming a key part of the film’s narrative.
King has generated significant buzz as it marks the first major on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji in prominent roles.
The storyline reportedly revolves around an experienced assassin mentoring a young protégé. Despite the disruption, production continues smoothly in India, with the team adapting quickly to avoid delays.
