The Sindh Assembly passed several significant bills during a session chaired by Anthony Naveed, covering health, education, security and workers’ welfare.

During the session, Sindh Law Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar presented an amendment to the Sindh Blood Transfusion Act, which was approved by the house.
Lawmakers also passed legislation concerning the administration and regulatory framework of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and National Institute of Child Health.
According to the approved legislation, administrative authority over both healthcare institutions will remain under the Sindh provincial government.
The assembly further approved a bill designed to regulate private security companies, security guards and training institutes operating across the province.
In addition, members passed a medical and dental education bill that establishes the Sindh Medical and Dental Education Council to oversee related educational matters.
The session also unanimously approved the Sindh Workers Welfare Fund Bill, aimed at improving welfare initiatives and support systems for workers throughout the province.
