According to authorities, the suspects—aged 47 and 45—were detained from locations in northwest and central London and remain in custody as investigations continue.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, when four ambulances belonging to a Jewish community service were set on fire in north London. No injuries were reported.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the incident, describing it as a “deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack.”
Police officials said CCTV footage indicates that at least three individuals may have been involved in the attack. Investigators had earlier been examining a possible link to Iran, although no confirmation has been made.
Authorities have maintained an increased police presence in affected areas as a precaution, amid growing concerns over rising antisemitism in the UK.
Officials have also warned about broader security threats, including potential targeting or surveillance of Jewish sites. Tehran has denied any involvement in such activities.
