Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has ordered foolproof security and uninterrupted civic services across the province for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. The participants reviewed preparations for processions, Milad gatherings and other religious events. Murad said the safety of participants remained the government’s top priority. He directed police, Rangers and district administrations to coordinate closely and complete security arrangements before the occasion. Authorities will monitor procession routes and religious gatherings throughout the day. The chief minister also ordered divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and police officers to maintain close coordination. The meeting also reviewed traffic management and sanitation arrangements. Murad directed officials to ensure smooth traffic flow along procession routes and keep public areas clean. He ordered a special cleanliness drive before and during 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Officials must also remove garbage from procession routes and surrounding areas. The chief minister directed departments to resolve drainage and sewerage problems immediately. He also ordered repairs to damaged roads and clearance of blocked drains before the religious occasion. Murad further instructed authorities to maintain uninterrupted supplies of electricity, gas and water. K-Electric, Sui Southern Gas Company, Water Corporation and other relevant agencies must remain fully alert. The Sindh inspector general of police briefed the meeting on security and traffic arrangements. Murad directed officials to monitor preparations continuously and address any emerging issues without delay. Religious scholars presented proposals on security, sanitation, traffic and civic facilities. The chief minister instructed relevant departments to address their concerns on a priority basis. Murad also praised the role of religious scholars in promoting inter-sectarian harmony and religious tolerance. He said the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasised peace, love, tolerance and brotherhood. He directed authorities to ensure that 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal is observed with reverence and religious harmony. He also ordered officials to resolve problems faced by organisers and citizens promptly. Senior Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, ministers Saeed Ghani, Nasir Hussain Shah and Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho and other senior officials attended the meeting.
