Karachi (Staff Reporter) — Arz-e-Watan Foundation President Ali Mansoor has welcomed the Government of Pakistan’s decision to grant a five-year extension in the tenure of Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir, describing it as a timely and commendable step aimed at strengthening national security, stability, and continuity in key defense and economic policies.

Congratulating Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on assuming the role of Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan, Ali Mansoor said the decision reflects the nation’s confidence in a strong, respected, and steadfast military leadership capable of steering the country through evolving regional challenges.
He said Pakistan cannot afford any ill-advised or abrupt decisions at a time when stability is crucial to national progress. “The sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces are a source of pride for the nation. Field Marshal Asim Munir’s professional competence, responsible leadership, and decisive actions have significantly enhanced Pakistan’s global standing and strengthened national defense,” Mansoor stated.
He added that bold measures taken under the Field Marshal’s leadership—aligned with the aspirations of the people—have made Pakistan’s defense more robust and resilient. “In the broader national interest, the patriotic people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their military leadership,” he emphasized.
Ali Mansoor further said the extension clearly indicates that Pakistan needs a leader with experience, integrity, and strategic foresight—qualities embodied by Field Marshal Asim Munir. He noted that under his command, the country has witnessed improvements in transparency, discipline, and decisive defense initiatives.
