Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons to assess operational preparedness and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening combat readiness.

During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on the formation’s operational status and key measures being undertaken to enhance battlefield effectiveness. He observed a field training exercise and inspected an advanced simulator training facility, praising the formation for maintaining high professional standards and a robust state of readiness.
Emphasising the evolving nature of modern warfare, the COAS & CDF highlighted the critical importance of technological adaptability, noting that contemporary conflicts require agility, precision, enhanced situational awareness and swift decision-making.
While interacting with officers and troops, Field Marshal Asim Munir commended their high morale and unwavering commitment to national security. He stressed the need for rigorous, mission-oriented training and reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains fully focused on addressing both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies and divisive elements aimed at destabilising the country.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Gujranwala, the Army Chief was received by the Corps Commander Gujranwala.
